This hoodless hiking shell, equipped with all the features of the hoodie of the same name, is designed for high altitudes and can handle treacherous routes and relentless headwinds. Two layers of Gore-Tex fabric in the body and sleeves provide excellent windproof and weather-resistant properties without being bulky. Highly breathable material used under the arms and a stretch-woven liner allow for exceptional freedom of movement, even in scrambles and strong winds.
Changes: Updated with PFAS-free Gore-Tex ePE fabric and a stretch-woven lining, and a new hybrid construction for enhanced breathability, stretch, and comfort. New shorter length for even greater freedom of movement.
This product is intentionally PFAS-free. The new ePE membrane technology is lighter and thinner while maintaining the same strength and durability as conventional materials. Products using the ePE membrane may appear to have a slightly damper surface, but rest assured that this does not affect the water-repellent properties of the membrane itself. If you find the fabric gets damp more easily than expected, washing and drying the jacket to remove oil stains will restore the DWR water-repellent function.
